A hidden gem in the heart of Sidmouth. Tucked just back from the front and in the heart of the town it is a quiet oasis. The property is modern, comfortable with features retained of the original building. With the bonus of a parking space attached. The hosts Amanda & Peter were communicative throughout from start to finish and greeted us on arrival. We had an amazing time and will certainly return in the near future 🦋
We are just back from our holiday in Sidmouth staying at the beautiful 2 Chapel Mews. We have visited lots of different places in Devon and must stay this was one of our best holidays. The accommodation was perfect! it was spotlessly clean, like home from home. Amanda and Peter welcomed us on our first day which was very thoughtful, we discussed places to visit and they recommended the best places to eat which was great. This lovely cottage is in a perfect location with its own parking space, a 2 minute walk to the seafront, shops, restaurants and bars. 2 Chapel Mews, what a gem. We stayed there recently for a few nights. The cottage is in a great location, a quite spot just a few minutes walk from the town, shops and the sea front and had its own parking spot which just makes things so much easier. The cottage was spotlessly clean on our arrival, well equipped and comfortable ensuring a relaxing break. All communication with the friendly hosts Amanda and Peter was prompt and helpful and we would happily stay there again. The chocolate and biscuits were appreciated too.
2 Capel Mews in my opinion is the perfect location. Central location to the town & a short walk from the beach but somehow doesn't have the noise of the gulls or the passing footfall, which is a part of the charm. The actual accommodation was spotlessly clean & has onsite parking for large cars, which is a massive advantage. The beds & seating areas were very comfortably. TV & Wifi easy to use. Kitchen, bathroom & w/c - everything in fact was to a very high standard. There is even a nice secluded outside area to enjoy the weather or hang the wet gear out to dry. It's a place we have already recommended and look forward to our next break there. Hosts are very friendly and most accommodating too, which made the break even more enjoyable. 11/10 if that's possible.
Our recent break at 2 Chapel Mews was absolutely perfect. It could not have been better. Cosy, clean (to Jayne's standards!), comfortable & convenient. You made my family feel so welcome and accommodated our extra needs without hesitation. I've already recommended your place to somebody, who I know regularly explores Devon so hopefully you will get some business generated from our personal experience. A wonderful haven from which to experience Sidmouth and it's lovely surrounds. Amanda's preparatory communications, information and thoughtful support as we arrived were much appreciated. The added kindnesses of chocolate, biscuits and allowing us to park beyond our allotted time were also well-received bonuses. What a beautiful homely space! We couldn't fault our accommodation - the beds were really comfortable and everywhere was very clean. Whilst we mainly ate out, the space was great for eating in, equipped with all necessary provisions. The quality and style of the home is impeccable - so many beautiful and inviting details and a real home from home. It was great to be so close to the sea and also the town. Mobility was limited for us, so the easy access was perfect for us, as was the downstairs toilet - all made for a relaxing stay. We are all very grateful for all of your hard work in creating and maintaining 2 Chapel Mews and would thoroughly recommend it!

We arrived at the lovely little mews cottage to be greeted with a warm welcome from our host Amanda. On entering the building everything was spotlessly clean and exactly as described on the website with quality furnishings and fittings. Amanda and Peter have put a lot of love and care into creating a perfect home from home The property is tucked away in a quiet, but central, part of the town and is only a couple of minutes from the esplanade, shops and restaurants. We were lucky with the weather and although there is numerous places to visit nearby by car we spent our time enjoying the lovely cliff walks. We cant recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning.

An absolute gem of a property, tucked away in a quiet place in the heart of Sidmouth. Immaculately clean, with everything you need for your stay. Amanda & Peter are welcoming and helpful hosts. Sidmouth itself is a really lovely, busy little town with a really interesting selection of shops and places to eat, it even has a cinema. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, would highly recommend. Absolutely loved my stay, it was just the relaxing break I needed to re-charge my batteries. Chapel Mews is such a beautiful, cosy place, I felt so at home there. I don't think I wanted for anything. This is a lovely cottage with everything we could have needed. Sidmouth is a beautiful location and we're so glad we had the chance to experience it. What a lovely place! Sidmouth is a beautiful area, and we feel very fortunate that the wedding provided the chance to visit. We did eat at the Anchor Friday evening and really enjoyed it. So glad we had the chance to meet-we are very impressed with the vision you had to create this bnb. Well done!
Everything as described, a really enjoyable stay in the highest of standards . The beach 2 mins away as promised. Never moved the car in 10 days from when we arrived until we left as everything was there. We really enjoyed our stay with Amanda, she is definitely a SUPER host. Everything was as described and the highest standards in a superb cottage which has clearly been prepared with love. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Well done Amanda
We have just spent a wonderful week in Amanda's adorable cottage. We have stayed in Sidmouth every year for 20 years and this is by far the best accommodation we have found. The cottage is bright and everything has been thought of and done to a very high standard. The location is perfect if you want to be in the town and near the seafront but tucked away in a quiet cosy corner. There is an outside space for relaxing and dining and the off road parking is a huge bonus.
Amanda and Peter were there to meet us and made us feel very welcome. It was reassuring to know that we could contact them easily if we needed to. We will definitely be booking this cottage again and would highly recommend it to anybody.

Everything was perfect! We can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. We had stayed here for two weeks in July. The location is steps from the sea, esplanade, and town. The cottage is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The inside is clean, modern, and comfortable. There is plenty of room for four guests. Beds, linens, pillows, and towels are luxurious. Kitchen has all the amenities available to make gourmet meals. Both bathrooms are pristine, and the shower is wonderful. Board games, cards, blankets are also provided. The outside is a beautiful, historic chapel with lovely windows and stonework. There is a comfortable outdoor area where we spent many nights enjoying the fresh air. The Wi-Fi worked great, and the TV had all the channels and apps you could need. The hosts are responsive, friendly, and willing to answer any questions or provide assistance. We will definitely be staying here every year we visit Sidmouth.
This property is in a great location - near to the shops, restaurants and seafront - yet it is still surprisingly peaceful and quiet. A beautifully converted building, it is very clean and comfortable inside with everything you need for a relaxing break. Communication with the hosts is easy. I highly recommend this property. Sidmouth is a lovely spot!

What a wonderful place to stay! A really handy location, one minute from the high street and two from the seafront. The cottage is really thoughtfully put together, with lots of clever, helpful, and homely touches. Excellent host, kind and thoughtful, and great communication. Highly recommended!
We had a perfect Easter stay in this lovely cottage. Immaculate accommodation with personal touches like age appropriate games for our children (11 and 13) and Easter eggs! Very comfortable beds and the fluffiest white towels! Amanda is a wonderful host with very clear communication and incredibly helpful. Cottage is tucked away from the high street but so close to all amenities. Beautiful cliff walks and scenery. Plenty of places to eat out.

We really enjoyed our stay at Amanda & Peter's lovely house . They have thought of everything to make a stay there as comfortable as possible ; a real home-from-home! It is perfectly situated too for walks by the beach as well as for local shops and places to eat. We can highly recommend it!

We spent a few nights in the Chapel cottage . The property was absolutely perfect , very clean, well fitted out and to a really high standard . Nothing was lacking. Location was great and parking space was a plus . Communication with host was very easy . We would definitely book again .

Had such a fantastic stay, the check in was so easy, Amanda had communicated so well with us regarding the key etc The house was immaculately clean and tidy, and decorated so well. It was brilliant to have a parking space right outside the house, the location of the house was perfect. It is located seconds from the town and a couple of minutes from the beach. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, so could sit on the beach and pop back to the house so quickly. Such a brilliant stay, would have no hesitation in recommending.

There is a parking space and the cottage is right in the town centre 1 road back from the amazing beach at Sidmouth. Surrounded by shops and restaurants you don’t need to go anywhere else!
Really lovely cottage, recently renovated, in an excellent location! We had a very comfortable stay at Chapel Mews. Everything is new and sparkly! Comfy beds, a good king size which seems rare on Air B&b. A good shower (very important) and fluffy towels. Parking outside and a small patio area with table and chairs. Really good location, minutes walk to the beach and shops/restaurants. 20 mins drive to surrounding areas and attractions.
We had a great stay at 2 Chapel Mews as a family of 4 (kids 10 yrs and 12 yrs). The house is lovely and just as in the pictures. It’s very clean and newly decorated. We were made to feel very welcome and Amanda gave us all the instructions we needed before we arrived. We also had some milk waiting for us and a voucher for the deli round the corner. Although the bedrooms are quite small as per the pics the ceilings are really high which makes them feel airy. The wardrobes are a good size and the beds are really comfy. The shower is great and there is a toilet downstairs as well. The kitchen/living area is a good size and accommodated our vast range of coats, shoes and general clutter very well. The location is brilliant - we felt very lucky. It’s just a few mins walk to the beach and shops are on your doorstep. A designated parking space made life even easier. The only hazard is a friendly seagull who seems to like messing up any cars parked outside but we still enjoyed greeting him each day! We knew there wasn’t a washing machine so brought x2 swimming gear each and that was useful as it wasn’t always hot enough to dry everything on the airer rinsing costumes between swims. We had a very comfortable stay and a very happy holiday. There is so much to do in the area and Sidmouth is a lovely town with lots of good places to eat and interesting local shops. We’ll definitely find an excuse to be back!

We spent a lovely few days at church mews. The location of the property is perfect, with an allocated spot for parking and the beach and town within a few minutes walking distance. Sidmouth also turned out to be the perfect location to visit many of the lovely towns nearby. The property is in pristine condition and is fitted out to an excellent standard.
A beautiful property tucked away in an unbeatable location close to the seafront with private parking and outside sitting space. Wonderful walks and cycling from the front door as well as swimming, paddle boarding and fossil hunting on the beach.
We booked Chapel Mews following the late cancellation of another property, by the property owner on another website, a few days before the bank holiday weekend. We were surprised that we were able to find such a lovely property at short notice. As it turned out, Chapel Mews had only just been listed and as they say ‘all things happen for a reason'. It was apparent from the images on Airbnb that the property was in immaculate condition and when we arrived we realised that we were to be the first guests to stay there. We were met by the hosts, Mandy and Peter, who were putting the finishing touches to the property as we had arrived a couple of hours before the official check-in time. When Peter saw that we had arrived with our bikes he even said that he would fit a lock hoop to the outside of the property so that our bikes could be locked safely. The property was like living in a brand new home all-be-it inside a historic church hall right in the centre of Sidmouth. Everything was brand new and the attention to detail on the building work and the finishing touches and contents were second to none. The hosts were friendly and easily contactable. We were so pleased with our stay that our neighbours at home booked the property for the following week and we have recommended it to a number of other friends. Simply superb!!
